Aqua Vita turns 20: the company celebrated its anniversary at the Four Seasons Astir Palace in Vouliagmeni, and One Take The Band played the music for the night.
The project at a glance
- Company: Aqua Vita
- Occasion: 20 years in business
- Venue: Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens, Vouliagmeni
- What we handled: Live music with One Take The Band
- Repertoire: An English-language set, plus one Japanese song prepared for the night
A Japanese song, just for that night
Elena, who manages Aqua Vita, asked for something we rarely play: a Japanese song in an otherwise English-language set. We were happy to take it on.
Before the event we learned the lyrics, adapted the arrangement to our line-up and rehearsed it. On the night it was played live, alongside the rest of the set.
We enjoy requests like this, because they make the programme yours. If there is a song you would love to hear and it is not on our list, tell us as early as you can. How long it takes depends on the song and on how many musicians play on it.
From conversation to the dance floor
At a company anniversary the guests are partners, clients and staff, and there are speeches. Early on the music has to leave room for conversation; later it has to get people dancing.
So we build the setlist around the flow of the evening: lower volume and calmer songs while guests eat and talk, a livelier set after the speeches. Elena herself describes how the night ended: even the company’s most serious business partners were dancing with their ties knotted around their heads.

Frequently asked questions
Can you prepare a specific song on request?
Yes, and we are glad to. For Aqua Vita we prepared a Japanese song within an English-language set. Send us the title as early as you can, so there is time to learn the lyrics, arrange it for the line-up and rehearse. How long it takes depends on the song and on how many musicians play on it.
How do you adapt the programme to a corporate event?
We build the setlist around the flow of the evening. While guests are eating and talking, the volume stays low and the songs are calmer; after the speeches we pick up the pace. We agree the programme with you in advance, once we have seen the event timeline and when the speeches are scheduled.
Do you play at hotels and venues with sound restrictions?
Yes. The Aqua Vita event took place at the Four Seasons Astir Palace. At hotels and venues with volume or curfew rules we adapt the line-up and the sound setup. Let us know in advance what applies at your venue, so we can plan for it.
«One Take Band were simply incredible! This was a very important event for us, with a lot riding on it, and from the very first songs the musicians created an amazing atmosphere. They showed the highest professionalism, incredible energy and real talent. By the end of the evening even our most serious business partners were dancing with their ties on their heads, which probably says more about their performance than any words could!»Elena Menshykova, Aqua Vita · Google review, translated from Russian
