Words for when he grows up
At every baptism we ask the relatives for something simple: to say a few words to the child. Not to the camera, to the child.
Dimitris will watch this film in fifteen or twenty years. By then he will want to hear the voices of the people who were there for him that day, and some of those words will mean even more with time.
We record these short messages after the ceremony, at the reception, once everyone has relaxed. Each one lasts a few minutes, and they go into the final film together with the footage of the day. In his review, Dimitris’s father writes that the film with the interviews moved them deeply.
The day, from the details to the hugs
We started before the ceremony with the details: the biscuits with the little bear and the anchor, the table dressed in blue, the decorations in the church. Then the family arrived and the baptism began.
Inside the church we worked with the available light and without interrupting the service, so the parents could be in the moment instead of thinking about the camera. The family photos came afterwards, outside the church.

Yes, with the available light and without interrupting the service. We do not set up extra lighting and we do not ask anyone to pose while the ceremony is under way. Before it starts we capture the details, the clothes and the decoration of the church, and the family photos are taken after the baptism.
Do you also cover the reception?
Yes, if you would like us to. The family messages are recorded at the reception, so there we do two things at once: we capture the celebration and we collect the messages for the child. We agree from the start how long we stay, depending on the plan for your day.
