Little Vangelis’ christening in Arnaia, Halkidiki, with a Lion King theme

• Ceremony: Church of Agia Paraskevi, Arnaia, Halkidiki
• Reception: Ktima Bakatsianos, next to the church
• Theme: The Lion King
• What we did: production and technical support, photography, videography, stage, sound, music equipment (backline), song arrangement and mixing
• Music: One Take The Band

What we loved about this christening was the family’s creativity and sense of humour. Little Vangelis was dressed as a lion cub, and his godfather took on the role of Rafiki from The Lion King: he lifted him high, like the famous scene where Rafiki presents Simba. When a family wants to step away from the usual, a christening becomes an unforgettable experience, and we are always glad to support ideas like this.

The theme went beyond the costumes and the decoration. Vangelis’ mother sang the Greek version of “Circle of Life”, a very personal and moving moment of the day. We took care of the arrangement and the mixing of the song.

We photographed and filmed both the ceremony and the reception. At the estate we set up a stage, a sound system and a full backline, and One Take The Band turned the reception into a party for young and old.

The family’s review was a lot shorter than their party, but it says it all:

“Perfect!” («Τέλειο!» in the original Greek)
