In the narrow streets of Chora, the light changes constantly in July. The sun reflects off the whitewashed walls, creating strong contrasts between light and shadow. By the afternoon, every part of Mykonos has taken on a different atmosphere — and this change directly affects the way each look is photographed.
This is where the photoshoot for the new collection by Ipatia Boutique took place: one day, three looks and three different locations.
For us, a photoshoot is not only about creating beautiful images. It is about creating content that can be used immediately across every brand communication channel — from social media and the website to the e-shop.

Three locations, three different conditions
Mykonos may appear visually uniform until you photograph it. In practice, each location requires a different approach and a different way of managing the light.
- Mykonos Town — The narrow streets and whitewashed walls strongly reflect the natural light. Brightness can change quickly, which makes careful exposure management essential in order to preserve the details and texture of the white fabrics.
- Little Venice — The houses built over the water add depth and colour to the images, but the space is limited and busy. Quick movements and careful planning are essential to keep the shots clean and ensure that attention remains on the collection.
- The Windmills — The Windmills are one of the most recognisable landmarks in Mykonos and offer strong backlighting, particularly in the afternoon. In this location, the composition makes use of silhouettes, lines and the relationship between the model and the landscape, creating images in which the surroundings enhance the presence of the collection..
Moving between three different conditions in a single day is precisely why a photoshoot in Mykonos cannot be organised like a studio session. The schedule has to be built around the sun’s movement and the most suitable hours of daylight.
One day, complete production
The photoshoot took place without a separate production team. One Take Productions handled the direction, photography, video capture and post-production, while Lia Papadopoulou appeared in front of the camera.
For a boutique of this size, the ability to combine photography and video within the same production is a significant advantage. With One Take Productions handling both formats, coordination is kept to a minimum and the available time is used more efficiently, especially during an outdoor photoshoot that depends on natural light.
The photography and video are created with a shared aesthetic and a consistent creative direction, allowing the final content to work cohesively across social media, the website and the e-shop. When the reel and photographs are created with the same creative eye, at the same time and in the same light, they do not need to be matched later during editing — they are consistent from the outset.

Why choose One Take Productions for a brand photoshoot in Mykonos?
For us, a photoshoot is not only about creating beautiful images. It is about creating content that can be used immediately across every brand communication channel — from social media and the website to the e-shop.
That is why photography and commercial video production are planned together from the beginning, rather than treated as two separate assignments. This approach gives both the photographic and video content a shared aesthetic and allows them to work together as part of one cohesive campaign.
The same logic we apply to corporate photography works equally well for multi-day corporate programmes across multiple venues and one-day brand photoshoots in island destinations. The scale changes, but the method remains the same.
Frequently asked questions
Do you undertake fashion and product photoshoots throughout Greece?
Yes. We work across Greece, with a particular focus on island destinations where the setting is part of the brand rather than simply a backdrop.
This particular project was completed in Mykonos in a single production day, with three looks across three different locations, and was delivered four days later. Planning takes place in advance to ensure that travel between locations does not reduce the time available for shooting during the best hours of daylight.
How many photographs are delivered from a one-day photoshoot?
The number depends on the looks, locations and type of production. For this project, we delivered 200 final edited photographs from three looks, in both vertical and horizontal compositions.
The number of final photographs is agreed in advance, so you know exactly what you will receive and do not have to choose from thousands of unedited images.
Can you cover both photography and video on the same day?
Yes. This is our approach for most brand photoshoots. For Ipatia Boutique, we created content for a short reel alongside the photography, without the need for a second production day or a separate videographer.
The result is photography and video with a shared colour palette and visual identity, ready to be published together as one cohesive campaign.
How far in advance should a photoshoot on an island be scheduled?
As early as possible, especially for July and August. In addition to availability, the schedule depends on the light at each location.
In destinations such as Mykonos, the day is planned around the sun, not the other way around. For this reason, the locations, travel time and looks are organised in advance, so that every part of the day can be used as effectively as possible.
